Fruit for Cannonball’s 2016 Chardonnay was sourced from vineyards around Sonoma County. The wine fermented and aged in an even mix of French oak and stainless steel, and malolactic influence was kept to a minimum. The result is a wonderfully balanced wine that is easy to love. Cannonball’s 2016 Chardonnay is much like the 2014 vintage, showing delicacy and finesse over structure and intensity.
The nose of this wine will grab you from the get-go: Complex and racy notes pineapple, vanilla, and honeysuckle grounded by a creamy minerality. The rich profile continues on the palate with delicate melon and citrus flavours. The finish is long and bright.
