Sauvignon Blanc is a pure expression of the grape’s fruit flavour: the wine is what the grape provides. There is no messing around, no doctoring with oak, no fluffing up with malolactic fermentation. In this case, grapes are sourced 60% from the Russian River Valley, 25% from Dry Creek Valley, and 15% from other regional vineyards.
On the nose, Cannonball’s 2015 Sauvignon Blanc offers a vibrant combination of melon and pineapple grounded by minerality. It delivers a generous serving of tropical fruit and grapefruit to the palate; lively with refreshing acidity and full, mouthwatering layers of flavour. This wine has just enough texture to be enjoyed with a wide range of food. It pairs well with fish tacos, sushi and pasta with light sauces.
