LCBO Vintages Classics Release
Six hectares of 35 year old vines grown in schist, sandstone, and sand contribute the Chenin Blanc fruit for this wine. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel fermentors to preserve purity of fruit flavour and the wine rests for nine months on the fine lees to build mid-palate richness. It will drink as a youthful wine for five years and in great vintages, can age for 20 years emerging as a spectacular mature white wine.
“Piercing and pure, with pear, green apple and green almond notes carried by a sleek, minerally edge. Shows juiciness along the edges and flashes of honeysuckle and bitter almond in the background. Drink now through 2033.”
