The Chenin Blanc grapes that were grown in the Clos du Bourg vineyard are tended and hand-harvested with the utmost care to preserve the delicate aromatics that make Domaine Huet’s Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec so special. Characterized by deep clay-rich soil interspersed with white chalk, the Clos du Bourg vineyard is a site where Chenin Blanc is able to express its wonderful aromatics while maintaining a racy acidity. This dynamic makes the wines entirely cellar-worthy. Like all of Huet’s vineyards, the land has been treated according to biodynamic principles for over 25 years.
“The 2015 Vouvray Clos du Bourg Demi-Sec displays a well defined and complex bouquet of ripe and concentrated fruits intertwined with chalky flavours. Dense and elegant on the palate, with a mouth-filling fruit and a perfect sweetness that counterbalances the raciness and firm mineral structure, this is a finesse-full and powerful Chenin with lots of salt and tension. A gorgeous, precise and vivacious wine with great aging potential. 2020-2040.”

“Quite ripe, with tropical mango and papaya notes mixed with peach, apple and quince flavors. Pretty ginger and heather notes fill in the background, while the finish shows a well-embedded mineral edge, imparting tension to match the opulence. Best from 2017 through 2030. 200 cases imported.”
