LCBO Vintages Release
Duckhorn Vineyards has been crafting Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc since 1982. Expanding on this winemaking tradition, Decoy Sauvignon Blanc lets the winemaking team explore a different expression of the grape from another great California appellation: Sonoma County.
A warm, dry spring in 2015 resulted in early budbreak in Sonoma County’s vineyards. The extended flowering period that followed brought yields back to normal after three years of abundant crops. Harvest was one of the earliest in the past decade, with light September rain nourishing the vines. The grapes were small and concentrated with vibrant acidity and exceptional quality.
The wine fermented in stainless steel to draw out bright, vivid tropical and stone fruit notes: nectarine, apricot, honeydew melon, lemongrass, and grapefruit on the nose and palate. Refreshing acidity mingles with a subtle, creamy sweetness that stays lively through the finish.
“The Key lime, citrus zest, honeydew melon and green apple flavors are juicy and lively, with a refreshing finish. Drink now.”
