LCBO Vintages Release
Like all of the best Sonoma County Zinfandel, Duckhorn’s 2015 offering combines lush dark fruit and plush tannins with vibrant red fruit acidity. Balanced and bright, but certainly not clumsy or heavy, this is a wine as delicious as it is refined.
The 2015 growing season in Sonoma yielded a warm, dry spring and early bud break. This was a year for small, concentrated berries and rich, intense wines. The majority of the fruit came from vineyards in the Dry Creek Valley, an area universally recognized for producing exceptional high-end Zinfandel. The final blend brings together 90% Zinfandel with 8% Petite Sirah, 1% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 1% Petit Verdot aged ten months in French oak.
“Sleek and well-built, with raspberry and pepper aromas and focused cherry, licorice and dusty sage flavors. Drink now through 2023.”
