The dramatic landscape of the Sonoma Coast, with its rocky, well-drained soil and elevated proximity to the cool Pacific Ocean, produces Pinot Noir with fresh, bright red fruit flavours, complex minerality, and brilliant acidity. Flowers sources fruit for this wine from small family-owned sites, as well as their own Sea View Ridge Estate vineyard.

Harvested in the cool hours of the very early morning, fruit was hand-sorted and de-stemmed, but not crushed, prior to fermentation. After a week-long cold soak, the loose berries were fermented by native yeast in small open-top fermenters. The wine was left on skins for almost three weeks. Pressed in a traditional basket press, the wine was settled overnight, then gravity-fed into French oak barrels (mostly old or second fill), where it was cellared for one year on fine lees prior to racking and blending just before bottling.

Aromas of Bing cherry, raspberry, dried herbs, violets, and forest floor. On the palate, bright blood orange and hibiscus are framed by broad, fine-grained tannins, characteristic Sonoma Coast minerality, and bright acidity. Try with roasted Muskovy duck breast and cherry sauce, served medium-rare.

“A fresh yet structured pinot with dried strawberry, orange peel and light caramel with dried stems. Medium body, flavorful, firm and bright at the end. Savory. Drink now.”

“Delicious, fresh, and savoury, this juicy Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast has violet and smoky flint aromatics buoyed by fresh red berries and a kiss of fresh mint. The palate is reflective, with flinty minerality coming to the fore. Pine sap, notes of fresh evergreen and lovely red fruits, clove and white peppery spice to finish.”
