Cadence Winery

Sometimes life’s path takes you places you never thought you’d be. Ben Smith had a fantastic job as a flight control systems specialist for Boeing when he was introduced to the Boeing Wine Club. Oddly enough, the wine club has become somewhat of an incubator for Washington’s young wine industry. This is a group of brilliant people having fun making “garagiste” wine. Many have found access to some of the United State’s greatest vineyards and possess the attention to detail needed to produce outstanding wines. Ben excelled. He won the club’s top trophy a handful of times and in 1998, embarked on his new career.

The precision of an engineer is at work at Cadence. The wines are balanced, yet powerful; tannic yet juicy. Energetic and built to age. These are wines for the Bordeaux wine collector, the Napa Valley wine collector and the Washington wine collector.
