Cannonball winery grew out of the quest to do one thing and do it well. To produce California Cabernet Sauvignon at an everyday price that tastes like a much more expensive wine. Sourcing fruit from top vineyards in Alexander Valley, Mendocino County and Napa Valley has allowed them to do just that.
After three vintages producing only Cabernet Sauvignon, the model was applied to Merlot and Chardonnay – sourcing premium fruit and blending a high-value wine. In 2011, a 2007 Napa Valley Merlot and 2009 Sonoma County Chardonnay were released to the market.
The Cannonball label perfectly captures the winemaking philosophy that wine should be fun, enjoyable, and above all else make you smile. Most importantly, these wines offer true quality at an everyday price, a testament to the great blending skills and craftsmanship of co-founder and master winemaker, Dennis Hill.
