Crafted from Cabernet Sauvignon grown in Buehler’s hillside estate vineyards and other mature low-yield Napa Valley Cabernet vineyards on the valley floor, this wine captures the spectrum of aromas, flavours, and textures that develop in Cabernet from different Napa Valley sites.
The wine was racked four times in the first year of aging to encourage aroma and tannin development, then aged for around a year and a half in French and American oak. The result is a quintessential Napa Cab: seamless, balanced, lush yet elegant. A real treat. The wine brims with black fruit aromas and flavours that will drink well on release. A decade or so in the cellar will yield a velvety texture, softened tannins, and a more nuanced nose and palate.
“Buying Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon does not necessarily have to set your credit card on fire. There are plenty of affordable and dependable options out here—you just have to know where to look. With value in mind, Buehler Vineyards is a fourth-generation, family-owned winery dedicated to making wines at reasonable prices. This bottling is 30 percent estate fruit from hillside vineyards, with the rest from the valley floor, yielding a ripe, fruit-forward style. Rounded and ripe, with cassis and plum puree flavours, laced with warm vanilla and cocoa notes.”
