Domaine Serene is arguably Oregon’s top Pinot Noir producer – perhaps one of the country’s top wineries. Consistently excellent from vintage to vintage, Evenstad Reserve is their flagship wine, the defining standard by which all of the Domaine Serene Pinot Noirs are measured. Comprised of Willamette Valley fruit from their dry-farmed estate vineyards, grapes are meticulously sorted upon arrival at the winery. After a week-long cold soak, fruit fermented in small lots according to vineyard block in over 250 “micro-crus”. After settling and racking, the wine spent 16 months in French oak, 60% new.
A masterclass in the art of blending a selection of these small lots, the Evenstad Reserve Pinot is a wonderfully complex wine that delivers dense layers of black tea, blackberry, orange rind, truffles, and dried violet. On the palate, this elegant wine possesses tremendous weight, lift, and balance, with soft tannins and a clean, lingering finish. With clone variation and site-driven diversity, the winery is able to craft this wine to their precise and exacting standards year after year.
“This is the 30th Anniversary of this iconic Pinot Noir bottling from Domaine Serene. This particular edition was aged for sixteen months in 65% new French oak prior to bottling. The aromas are simply sensational ranging from cardamon accents to peat moss, black truffle shavings to bright red fruits and citrus zest that all amalgamate marvelously. The texture is beautiful as this silky wine effortlessly dances across the mid-palate. The seamless character of this wine really entices. as dense dark and red fruits pack this incredible wine. The 2016 Evenstad is once again up there with the best vintages ever produced.”

“Stunningly vivacious and elegant with notes of rich cherry fruit, sweet strawberry compote, a hint of coconut and a wonderful influence of coffee and toasted nuts. The oak flavours are complex but well integrated and soft.”
