The 2017 Grayson Cabernet Sauvignon shows a dark ruby colour with a rich nose of blackberry, raspberry, and a hint of black pepper. This is an intense Cabernet with a round mouth feel and soft, lingering finish. The palate is full of rich fruit and a soft note of toasted French oak.
This vintage is a new release that has yet to be submitted to press, but the previous vintage, 2016, was awarded a Double Gold Medal for having earned 99 points in the 2018 California State Fair’s Wine Competition. This made Grayson Cabernet Sauvignon the “Best of Class” California Cabernet in a field of over 450 wines!
“A frequent entry into these best buy pages, winemaker Larry Levin knows how to fashion flavorful, authentic tasting whites and reds at bargain-basement prices.”
