The union of the best: Gris-Picol-Jurosa. Three “historic” vineyards for a wine that freely expresses the Friulian spirit and nature. Uniquely crafted to express the perfect balance between the vine and its terroir.
The Gris-Jurosa vineyard is located on the right bank of the Isonzo River and managed organically. Fruit is hand-harvested from the 25+ year old vines grown in calcareous, gravel soils on a broad alluvial shelf to produce a rich, complex, well-structured white wine. Every vintage is fermented and matured on fine lees in large oak tonneau. These wines are at the top of the range offered by Lis Neris.
Pair with fish roasted over rosemary or pasta with porcini mushrooms.
“The 2018 Lis is coy in the glass, with a nuanced bouquet that shows young peach, dusty florals and white smoke. This is pure elegance on the palate, pleasantly soothing and soft, with ripe white pit fruits and hints of sweet spice that smooth over the palate. It finishes with a tug of tannin and a concentration of residual fruits, as hazelnut traces embellish the style. In 2018, the Lis is a blend of Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc.”

“Dried apple, sourdough, smoked almond and burnt lemon on the nose. Grilled pineapple and toast too. Full-bodied with a toasty, compact palate. Lengthy. Pinot grigio, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc. Drink now.”
