“A meaty cabernet franc that shows plummy notes, spices, cloves, citrus and some vanilla. Medium to full body, steely tannins and a tightly wound finish with focused acidity. From organically grown grapes. Drink in 2020.”

“This estate in the Scansano area of Southern Tuscany is managed by the folks at Tua Rita (based in Suvereto slightly to the north of here). Poggio Argentiera is the value-wine branch, although winemaking and farming are proposed with similar care and attention as you see at Tua Rita. The property counts 24 hectares of vines. The young winemaker Giulia Harri is the daughter of famed Montalcino enologist Pablo Harri.”
