The grapes for this Cabernet Sauvignon come from sustainably-managed vineyards in the central Colchagua Valley, home to Chile’s greatest red wines. Grapes are hand-picked from the end of April through the beginning of May, crushed, then cold-macerated in stainless steel tanks for five days. Fermentation took place at controlled temperatures for ten days, while oxygen was introduced through gentle cap management. Following fermentation, the wine spent six months on French and American oak.
On the nose, this Cabernet shows red fruit, blueberry, and plum, with soft floral aromas. It is mellow, with rounded tannins, good volume, well-integrated oak and a long, pleasant finish.
The 2019 vintage is a new release that has yet to be reviewed. Previous vintages have consistently been named Best Buys by Wine Enthusiast.
