Morgon is one of the most well-known of the ten Beaujolais Crus. The wines of Morgon are known for their structure, with a high concentration of fruit and tannin. This gives the wines more ageing potential, and they typically hit their peak after resting for a couple of years in the bottle.
This Morgon is made entirely of fruit from a single family-owned estate; organically-farmed and hand harvested from 50-year-old vines growing in the famed granite and schiste soil. Deep ruby in colour, tinged with purple. The elegant nose hits notes of minerality, ripe red fruits, raspberries and strawberries. The palate is lush and full-bodied with silky tannins.
