Bacio Divino Cellars

Napa Valley

Bacio Divino is a small family-owned winery, located in the Napa Valley on the slopes overlooking St. Helena, which produces two very different proprietary red wine blends. Winery owner Claus Janzen moved to the Napa Valley from Winnipeg, where he became a friend and disciple of Chuck Wagner of Caymus Vineyards. His wines have received critical acclaim from the Wine Spectator and Robert Parker since first release in 1993. Volume is still low at about 1500 cases, and demand always outstrips supply.

Their primary wine, “Bacio Divino”, is a Cabernet Sauvignon blend incorporating smaller amounts of Sangiovese and Petite Sirah. “Pazzo” is a bistro-style wine that is to some degree the inverse blend of Bacio: predominantly Sangiovese complemented by Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon.
