Ryan Harms and his brother Eric (the mavericks behind Union Wine Company), founded Christopher Michael in 2009. Originally from Holland, Minnesota, but Oregon residents since 2001, they embraced wholeheartedly the region’s unique spirit and passion for craftsmanship. They see Oregon as a place for for doers, makers, explorers, artisans, and entrepreneurs who craft authentic, real, honest, quality goods they are proud of. These are the values they embody as they explore the awe-inspiring regions across the Pacific Northwest.

You can count on Ryan and Eric Harms to defy tradition and bring innovation to whatever they do. At Christopher Michael, they believe that geographic boundaries shouldn’t define the wines. Wines from both Oregon and Washington are crafted to be fresh, approachable, and ready for any occasion anywhere. The estate produces a variety of wines available in both bottles and cans. The idea behind this project is to make wine accessible without sacrificing quality; producing delicious, vibrant and affordable wines. Every vintage sees different varietal wines, as well as a new blending parietals for their Merlot based red wine, sometimes using Barbera, Tannat, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon or Malbec.
