Misha's Vineyard

Central Otago

Prior to starting their own winery, Misha Wilkinson and Andy Wilkinson were corporate executives working in Singapore. In 2001, the couple returned to New Zealand to pursue their passion for wine. After 18 months of deliberate terroir research and site visits, they finally landed on the spectacular site where they founded Misha’s Vineyard in Bendigo Station, Central Otago.

Joined by the internationally renowned oenologist and winemaker, Olly Masters, Misha’s Vineyard has already been named as one of New Zealand’s Top 20 Wine Producers. Misha’s Vineyard is certified sustainable under the New Zealand Winegrowers certification program. Two-thirds of the 57 hectare vineyard is dedicated to Pinot Noir and the rest comprises of aromatic white varietals including Pinot Gris, Gewürztraminer, Riesling and Sauvignon Blanc.

The unique climatic blend of ice cold winters, hot summers with little to no rainfall, and large diurnal temperature swings during the ripening season, allow grapes in Central Otago to ripen with wonderful flavour intensity. The resulting wines retain high levels of crisp acidity enabling excellent ageing potential.
