A grower house who for centuries provided the highest-quality grapes to the great Champagne houses, Gaston Chiquet has now become its own producer of “grower Champagne”, equal to that of the “Grandes Marques” but with the character of the place where it originates.

Gaston Chiquet’s Cuvée de Réserve is the ultimate expression of blended Champagne. Comprised of all three of the classic Champagne varietals – Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir – the wine is blended from different parcels and different vintages, to maintain a pure and balanced style. Grapes are harvested by hand from old vines and vinified by individual parcel. The resulting wine is aged on the lees for five years, producing the classic complexity that is the hallmark of fine Champagne.

“The NV Brut Cuvée de Réserve is endowed with terrific energy and cut. There is plenty of drive here. Pear, spice, dried flowers, mint and apricot are all beautifully delineated. This is pretty, tightly wound, but compelling just the same. Disgorged: October, 2020.” 93 points, Antonio Galloni, Vinous Media, November 2021

“A terrific expression of a Pinot-dominated wine from sites around the village of Dizy, with Meunier in the ascendant, lending notes of brioche, soft red fruit and an approachably fruity personality. The wine wears its 8 g/L of sugar effortlessly, and combines an autolytic elegance, courtesy the inclusion of a healthy slug of reserve wines, with a complexity bequeathed by long ageing on the lees.” 91 points, Simon Field, Decanter, June 2021
