Chanson Pere et Fils

The Chanson Pere et Fils Chassagne Montrachet takes its grapes from three plots of vineyards ideally located in the heart of the village of Chassagne Montrachet – just neighbouring the Premiers Crus.

Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were gently pressed before being entirely barrel-fermented and aged in oak in Chanson’s 15th century cellars for 12 to 14 months. Classically Chassagne-Montrachet, this round and generous wine shows a nose of fresh citrus, honeysuckle and a touch of toast. It has a refreshing multi-layered palate of verbena, hazelnut and fresh butter. These wines are precise with beautiful fruit integration.

  • Chassagne Montrachet Les Chenevottes 1er Cru 2018
“A more complex nose is composed by notes of petrol, resin, apple, citrus and a subtle hint of wood. The sleek but solidly concentrated middle weight plus flavours brim with sappy dry extract that coats the palate on the energetic, persistent and dry finish that displays fine depth. This very dry yet seductive effort isn’t particularly refined but it’s certainly impressive plus it’s sufficiently tightly wound that it should reward up to a decade of cellaring.

  • Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Mouches 2019
“Although this white 1er Cru Beaune has plenty of ripeness and creaminess, it also has bright lemon-curd character and pronounced chalky minerality that gives a wonderful, fine-grained texture. Long and very straight finish. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold.
