The Domaine’s fruit was harvested and carefully sorted by hand, then vinified in concrete for two weeks. The wine was transferred to oak vats, where it aged for up to two years, depending on lot. This Châteauneuf-du-Pape can be cellared for up to 20 years in exceptional vintages.
“The 2018 Châteauneuf Du Pape, tasted from bottle, also showed beautifully, with oodles of Provençal charm in its ripe cherry and strawberry fruits as well as spicy garrigue, licorice, and loamy soil-like aromas and flavours. It’s not the biggest or richest wine in the vintage, but it’s beautifully balanced and medium-bodied, with silky tannins and a great finish. Drink this Provençal, spicy, already complex beauty any time over the coming decade. 2020-2030.”
