Domaine Chante-Perdrix was established in 1896. Today, it is run by Guy and Frédéric, the third and fourth generations of the Nicolet family. Their vines produce grapes for red and white Châteauneuf-du-Pape. Vineyards are located in the southern quarter of the appellation on pebble-layered plateaus and terraces above the Rhone River. They produce bright, rich wines with remarkable structure and intense ruby structure from Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre, and Muscardin.
The Domaine’s fruit was harvested and carefully sorted by hand, then vinified in concrete for two weeks. The wine was transferred to oak vats, where it aged for up to two years, depending on lot. This Châteauneuf-du-Pape can be cellared for up to 20 years in exceptional vintages.
