Château Saint-Maur is one of Provence’s historic Cru Classé estates, a distinction dating back to 1955 and held by only 18 wineries. Set in the village of Cogolin, near the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, the château itself was built in the late 19th century and today spans roughly 100 hectares across the foothills of the Maures Massif. The estate entered a new era after its acquisition by Roger Zannier in 2011, with a renewed focus on precision, elegance, and high-end Provençal rosé.
From the heart of Côtes de Provence, this wine reflects the Mediterranean terroir of clay-limestone soils rich in schist and quartz, helping deliver both freshness and texture. As a Cru Classé white from Provence, it captures the region’s hallmark combination of sun-ripened fruit and coastal lift.
L’Excellence Cru Classé Blanc 2025 is made from 100% Rolle (Vermentino). The grapes are de-stemmed, go through a cold maceration, and then ferment at low temperatures in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and aromatics. The result is a white wine showcasing bright citrus, white peaches, a subtle floral lift, and a beautiful mineral finish, with enough weight to stay elegant, but serious.
A beautiful match for grilled Mediterranean sea bass, lemon-herb chicken, or seafood risotto.
