Cocci Grifoni is one of the benchmark estates of the Piceno zone in southern Marche, a family-run winery long associated with reviving and championing the native grape Pecorino and preserving the region’s historic vineyard identity.
This wine comes from Offida DOCG in Marche, on Italy’s Adriatic side, an appellation elevated from DOC to DOCG in 2011 and now recognized as one of the leading homes for structured, age-worthy Pecorino.
Colle Vecchio is made from 100% Pecorino. The grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and aromatics. This full body white wine is dry with striking acidity, and complexity. In the glass, expect ripe pear, white flowers, broom, hints of lemongrass and sage, with a fresh, layered palate that balances richness with mineral lift and energy.
This is an excellent match for grilled seafood, lemon-herb roast chicken, or richer shellfish dishes.
