Domaine des Perdrix is one of the Côte de Nuits most polished historic estates, but its modern rise began when the Devillard family took over in 1996, investing heavily in both the vineyards and winery. Today, the Domaine is known for its holdings in some of Burgundy’s finest terroirs and for crafting wines that balance refinement with structure.
Vosne-Romanée is one of Burgundy’s most revered village appellations, tucked into the heart of the Côte de Nuits and famed for producing some of the region’s most perfumed, sensual, and aristocratic reds. The Domaine owns 1.05 hectares of vines located in the climats ‘Les Quartiers de Nuits’, ‘Les Hautes Maizières’ and ‘Les Chaladins’, all planted between 1921 and 1980.
The Domaine des Perdrix Vosne-Romanée 2023 is made from 100% Pinot Noir, de-stemmed and fermented using native yeast for 15 days. Ageing takes place in 100% French oak barriques (20% new) for 12 months. The result is a wine of lifted red and black cherry fruit, violets, subtle spice, and a silky, finely textured palate with energy, finesse, and a long, graceful finish.
Pair it with duck breast, roast veal, mushroom dishes, or herb-roasted game birds
“Black cherry, blackberry and licorice flavors are accented with spices in this luscious, open-knit red. There are pliable tannins for support and a lingering, spicy aftertaste. Best from 2028 through 2046. 20 cases imported.”
