Domaine Leflaive

Domaine Leflaive sits in the heart of Burgundy’s Côte d’Or. This family-run winery balances respect for nature with rigorous standards of winemaking to create harmonious wines that exhibit richness, purity of fruit and elegance. Being at the crossroads of multiple climatic influences, Burgundy wines have acquired a unique reputation as having the best Chardonnays in the world.

The Domaine has been 100% biodynamic since 1997. This philosophy is a demanding and pragmatic practice that maintains parasites at an acceptable level strengthening the health of the vine to gain balance, finesse and elegance.

This wine exhibits great texture and precision — white peach, Meyer lemon and pear fruit are balanced with hints of toast and nutmeg. Ready to drink now or cellar.

“From several different lieux-dits, 30% of which is from Brélance with major contributions from Les Tremblots and Grands Champs An elegant, pure and more floral nose offers up its combination of green apple, prominent citrus and crushed fennel nuances. There is borderline painful intensity to the appealingly textured medium weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality, chiseled, balanced and long finish that is quite dry but not really austere. This is an excellent Puligny villages that is also worth strong consideration.”
90-93 points, Burghound, June 2023

“A pale colour with a slight green tint. The nose is more complex than the Bourgogne without suggesting much greater power. Here it is the elegance which counts, fresh white fruit with fines herbes. More lemon than lime in its citrus notes. Medium plus length. Drink from 2025-2028.”
90-92 points, Jasper Morris, Inside Burgundy, May 2023
