Domaine Serene is arguably Oregon’s top Pinot Noir producer and possibly one of the country’s top wineries. Consistently excellent from vintage to vintage, Evenstad Reserve is their flagship wine, defining the standard by which all of the Domaine Serene Pinot Noirs are measured.

Comprised of Willamette Valley fruit from their dry-farmed estate vineyards, grapes are meticulously sorted upon arrival at the winery. After settling and racking, the wine spent 16 months in French oak, 60% of new.

A masterclass in the art of blending a selection of these small lots, the Evenstad Reserve Pinot is a wonderfully complex wine that delivers dense layers of black tea, blackberry, orange rind, truffles, and dried violet. On the palate, this elegant wine possesses tremendous weight, lift, and balance, with soft tannins and a clean, lingering finish. With clone variation and site-driven diversity, the winery is able to craft this wine to their precise and exacting standards year after year.

“Medium ruby, the 2019 Pinot Noir Evenstad Reserve has pure, layered aromas of cranberry, pomegranate and raspberry with accents of tobacco leaves, graphite, mushroom and forest floor. The medium-bodied palate is harmoniously structured and seamless with delicate, perfumed fruit and a very long, spicy finish. This strikes a fine balance between a fruity, savory and earthy character.”

“A firm and linear wine with some herbal and bark character. Blue fruit and dried strawberry. Floral. Full and tight with firmness and intensity. Give it three to four years to come around.”
94 points, James Suckling, June 2022

“The 2019 Pinot Noir Evenstad Reserve is forward and lifted with baking spice, clove, and cranberry. The palate is medium-bodied, with fine tannins, wonderful concentration, and notes of dried roses, pure cherry, and lingering oak spice. Drink 2023-2030.”
94 points, Jeb Dunnuck, August 2022
