Located just one kilometer from San Gimignano, in the province of Siena, the Casale Falchini winery extends over several hectares of vineyards, surrounded by the rolling Tuscan countryside. Roughly 65% of the winery’s production is dedicated to the Vernaccia di San Gimignano grape, the first white DOCG in Italy. The top Vernaccia wines are Vigna a Solatìo and Ab Vinea Doni.
Vigna a Solatìo is distinguished by pleasant freshness on the palate and light notes of green apple and white flowers. Drink it young and fresh from the vineyard, or age two to three years in the bottle.
Vigna a Solatìo pairs easily – a true wine for the table. This wine has great finesse and structure. Yellow straw in colour, with light aromas of green apple and jasmine flowers. Fresh, balanced, fruity, and graceful on the palate. Pair with appetizers, first courses, white meat, soups or roasted fish and shellfish, or enjoy as an aperitif.
