Graillot is the standard-bearer for the Crozes-Hermitage appellation in France’s Northern Rhône Valley. In 1985, the legendary Alain Graillot, returned to his home in Crozes-Hermitage to start his own domaine after working with the venerable Jacques Seysses at Domaine Dujac. His devotion to the art of wine making from his organically farmed, stone-laden vineyards, resulted in a dedicated following throughout the world.
Alain’s sons Maxime and Antoine have been in charge since 2008 continuing the practices of their father including hand-harvesting, organic farming, whole-cluster fermentation, and aging the wines in 1-to-3 year old barrels.
The Crozes-Hermitage Blanc 2021 is a perfect reflection of the dedication to the Graillot method. 80% Marsanne and 20% Roussanne grapes grown on 35+ year old vines in very rocky gravely soil results in fresh, tangerine and melon aromas with minerals and white pepper.
