H. Cuvelier & Fils

The Cuvelier family, renowned proprietors of Château Léoville Poyferré (Second Growth, Saint-Julien) and Château Le Crock (Cru Bourgeois, Saint-Estèphe), brings generations of Bordeaux expertise to every bottle they produce. With deep roots in the Médoc and a passion for precision winemaking, the family’s philosophy is rooted in showcasing the character of each vintage through thoughtful sourcing and blending. Cuvelier Bordeaux Blanc reflects their broader vision: a pure and expressive white wine that captures the freshness and finesse of modern Bordeaux.

Each year, the finest Sauvignon Blanc grapes are sourced from select vineyards across the region to highlight balance, aromatic intensity, and texture. Fermented and aged primarily in stainless steel, with a touch of French oak for roundness and depth. The wine retains its crisp, lively profile while gaining a gentle creaminess on the palate. Expect bright aromas of citrus, white peach, and pear, layered with delicate floral notes and a hint of minerality. The palate is fresh and harmonious, with a long, elegant finish.

Cuvelier Bordeaux Blanc is a versatile companion for a wide range of dishes: seared scallops, grilled fish with lemon and herbs, or a crisp Niçoise salad. It also shines alongside soft cheeses, creamy pastas, or simply enjoyed as an apéritif.

“Classic styling brings sauvignon blanc and in only the way Bordeaux can, notably dry and marked by high acid intensity. May not exhibit the luxe behaviour of seriously expensive Bordeaux Blanc but the intention, gist and results are clearly real. A green mango and tart yellow nectarine fruity quality moving quietly through the sharp expression and in the end a phenolic presence adds another layer of complexity. Must see white wine TV. Drink 2026-2028. Tasted April 2026.”
90 points, Michael Godel, Wine Align, April 2026
