Grown opposite the Côte des Monts Damnés in the Loire Valley, the Pinot Noir grapes in this Sancerre rosé wine are hand-harvested before being cluster-pressed to conserve the quality of the grape berries. After a second pressing the wines are then aged on their lees in stainless steel vats for four months.
This elegant Sancerre Rosé has a clear hue and generously elegant aromas of red fruits and fresh citrus notes. Radiant freshness pairs perfectly with savoury appetizers like crab or smoked ham, as well as tangy berry desserts. A perfect choice with light dishes or as an aperitif.
“Produced with Pinot Noir from Chavignol, facing the imposing Monts Damnés. The free-run juice is separated from press wine, with only the finest selected. Aged on lees for four months. Lovely Oeil de Perdrix hue. Fragrant, dusky strawberry and raspberry fruits, with a touch of leafiness. Plenty of acidity, but it’s balanced by ripeness on the palate. A very serious rosé, yet one which is so sweet, ripe and delicious.”
