After a devastating earthquake in 1968, Cantine Ermes, a cooperative winery, was founded by a group winemakers in the Belice Valley. The original cooperative has grown to more than 2000 growers cultivating over 6,00 hectares of vineyards between the provinces of Trapani, Agrigento and Palermo, featuring several different brands including Libero.

The Vallee del Belice has deep alluvial based soils with a mix of limestone and sand. These dark soils are full of rich, organic matter.

This wine is 100% Pinot Grigio and Certified Organic. Carefully Guyot-trained vines help moderate yield and manage the canopy, while relatively deep, dark alluvial soils of medium texture with a mix of limestone and sand nurture rich fresh fruit. Carefully selected grapes are then softly-pressed, fermented in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and aged 2 months in bottle before release.

This refreshing wine reveals delicious notes of pear and citrus fruit and delivers a fragrant, fruity finish.
