Mas Doix seeks to reflect the microclimate in Poboleda, the cool part of the Priorat, where the vines benefit for a Mediterranean climate with a great oscillation between daytime and nighttime temperatures. Winemaking is carried out with minimum intervention, so that the wines express the terroir in a pure and uninterrupted way. The concentration and expression of the Garnacha are of the highest priority for Mas Doix.
Aging in concrete vats preserves the fruitiness, the freshness, the minerality and the salinity of the terroir. The succulent red fruits are expressive, with a light floral touch. The pleasantly creamy palate is warm and complex with a long finish.
Enjoy with a British or Irish lamb stews subtle herbs and spices for the main course. Cheese – especially goat cheese – is also a classic pairing for this Garnacha.
“What a beautiful Garnacha! Fresh and elevated, produced from fairly young vines at 25 years old. Wild berries, lavender, warm earth and anis. Grainy and bright – very moreish despite the high ABV! 2024-2034.”

“The village red 2023 Poboleda showcases another warm and dry year through ripe organic Garnacha with high ripeness, 15% alcohol and good acidity. Having said that, the wine has finesse, elegance and balance and is quite impressive. The destemmed grapes fermented with neutral yeasts in stainless steel and concrete tanks, and the wine matured in concrete eggs for four to six months. It has a medium-bodied palate, delicate with very fine and elegant tannins. Impressive! 3,369 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2024.”
