Massaya Le Colombier is a fresh, thirst-quenching red blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Tempranillo. Crafted by the Ghosn brothers with long-standing French partners, this wine bears all the hallmarks of terroir-driven Rhône-style blending, yet with a distinctive high-altitude Lebanese signature. Le Colombier is made from organic grapes grown on the hillsides of the Beqaa Valley at altitudes of 900-1,200 metres above sea level. The vines are on average around 40 years old and grown in chalky soils.
Grapes are hand-harvested, sorted, fully destemmed, then fermented in stainless steel vats for about 20-30 days. Post-fermentation, the wine is matured in vats for one year and lightly filtered prior to bottling.
This fruit-driven wine offers vivid aromas of raspberry and cherry layered with spice and pepper and a hint of floral note. On the palate, expect medium body, good freshness, moderate tannins and a clean, fruit-driven finish. It pairs beautifully with Mediterranean fare and grilled vegetables.
