A bright, robust blend of 85% Sangiovese and 15% Ciliegiolo (a varietal with the Italian name for “cherry”, undergoing something of a renaissance in central Italy). The region’s climate is somewhat Mediterranean, resulting in wines with soft tannins, ripe red fruit flavour, and subtle herbal-earth notes.
