Founded in 1970, this Willamette Valley winery exudes the spirit of adventure and passion for winemaking that first inspired Dick and Nancy Ponzi. Groupe Bollinger acquired Ponzi Vineyards in 2021, their first property outside of France. Under their stewardship, Ponzi Vineyards continues to elevate the elegance and sophistication of the wines produced.
Winemaker, Max Bruening was brought on in 2024. Max became the first person outside of the Ponzi family to hold the esteemed title of winemaker. Both a skilled winemaker and a fervent advocate of low-intervention winemaking and sustainable farming practices, he understands that crafting exceptional wines is an intricate dance between nature and nurture.
Ponzi Tavola Pinot Noir is generous, fresh and fruit-forward. It is produced from LIVE Certified Sustainable vineyards, Aurora and Avellana Vineyards, as well as sustainably grown vineyards in the Chehalem Mountains, Yamhill-Carlton and Eola Hills AVAs. Spiced blueberries, plum, and cranberry leap from the glass, followed by denser notes of dry forest floor, sagebrush, and leather. The mouth holds fresh acidity with flavours of ponderosa pine, citrus, and raspberry. This brightness is in lively tension with darker flavours of Amarena cherry and rich earth.
“A bright and juicy pinot with cherries, cranberries, citrus fruit, hibiscus and spices. Medium-bodied, fresh and crunchy on the palate with delicious fruit and a zesty undertone at the end. Chalk and minerals in the finish. Drink now.”

“The 2022 Pinot Noir Tavola is scented of blackberry jam and blood orange, plus nuances of pipe tobacco and rooibos tea. The medium-bodied palate is bursting with layers of ripe fruit, spice and earth. It’s structured by silky tannins and bright acidity and has a long, refreshing finish.”
