Sourced from the historic Asili vineyard, the 2014 Asili Riserva is a great example of how Nebbiolo’s potential is not just limited to Barolo. The vineyard’s calcareous limestone soils and continental climate ensure the grapes that grow there have enough acidity at harvest to age and develop in bottle. The long maceration period (around 28 days) and 36 months spent in large oak botti give the wine its power, texture, and intense flavour.

On the palate, this is everything you would expect from such a well-made Barbaresco: notes of red cherry, strawberry, and violets give way to silky tannins so well balanced as to be almost imperceptible.
