Tenute Orestiadi is the name of a very young and dynamic Sicilian winery, born a few years ago from the efforts of many vinegrowers in the area of Gibellina and the Orestiadi Foundation. The name originates from the ancient tale of Aeschylus who wrote Orestiadi, the mythical adventures of Oreste. Tenute Orestiadi vineyards have a set of unique terroir, characterized by different soils, specific microclimates and different altitudes to create wines that are the fruit of passion and dedication, as well as of a deep knowledge of the Valley and its micro-peculiarities.
Tenute Orestiadi Zibbibo DOC Sicilia is made with 100% Zibibbo grapes. The indigenous white varietal is planted in white soil, typical of Belice Valley, at 200-450 metres above sea level. High limestone and gypsum components help water retention in the dry microclimate. The wine is aged three months in steel tanks and at least four months in bottle prior to release.
Floral and fruity aromas of citrus fruit, peach, and yellow melon. On the palate it’s fresh and elegant, sapid and harmonious. Enjoy with fish, grilled prawns and shellfish based courses.
