Morgon is one of the most well-known of the ten Beaujolais Crus. The wines of Morgon are known for their structure, with a high concentration of fruit and tannin. This gives the wines more ageing potential than the wines produced in the other Crus. The wines of Morgon typically hit their peak after resting for a couple of years in the bottle.
This Morgon is made entirely of fruit from a single family-owned estate; organically-farmed and hand-harvested from 50-year-old vines growing in the region’s famed granite and schiste soil.
Deep ruby in colour, moving to purple at the lip. An elegant nose shows notes of minerality, ripe red fruit, raspberry, and strawberry. The palate is lush and full with silky tannins.
