Fruit for Cannonball’s 2017 Chardonnay was sourced from diverse, cool climate vineyards in Northern California. The wine fermented in stainless steel, then aged in French oak, and malolactic influence was kept to a minimum. The result is a wonderfully balanced wine that is easy to love. Cannonball has opted for a style with delicacy and finesse over structure and intensity.
The nose of this wine will grab you from the get-go: complex and racy notes pineapple, vanilla, and honeysuckle grounded by a creamy minerality. The rich profile continues on the palate with delicate melon and citrus flavours. The finish is long and bright.
