Located in the heart of the Sonoma Coast, in a former apple processing facility in Sebastopol, California, Crossbarn wines are made with labor-intensive, yet simple techniques. These sophisticated wines focus on the expression of California’s most celebrated AVA’s, including Napa Valley for Cabernet.

Produced using hand-harvested fruit picked at night when the berries are cool, Crossbarn’s Napa Cabernet is a showcase for some of the valley’s best vineyards. Fruit macerated for nearly a month following fermentation by native yeast, then spent roughly 20 months maturing in French oak (mostly old).

This wine shows deep ruby in hue with a bouquet of crushed violets, red currant, and black plum. A bounty of concentrated black fruits is featured on the palate, accompanied by dried herbs and cacao. Structured tannins provide this full-bodied wine with a unique depth along with a lively acidity that gives tension to a long, seamless finish.
