Founded in 1981, Bodegas Granbazán is located in the heart of the Salnés Valley, the birthplace of Albariño and the most coastal sub-region of Rías Baixas. From the outset, the winery has focused on producing premium Albariño, embracing a philosophy rooted in precision, terroir expression, and sustainable viticulture. Granbazán’s elegant manor house and state-of-the-art cellar are surrounded by estate vineyards that benefit from Atlantic breezes and granite soils, conditions ideal for growing vibrant, expressive white wines.
Granbazán Etiqueta Verde is the flagship Albariño of the estate and is aged on fine lees to enhance its texture and aromatic complexity. It pours a luminous straw yellow and opens with striking aromas of white peach, apricot, mango, Kaffir lime, and a touch of sea spray. The palate is laser-focused and energetic, with intense tropical fruit, crisp citrus acidity, and a persistent mineral backbone. Its dry, refreshing finish makes it a textbook example of coastal Albariño at its best.
This wine is a seamless match for raw or simply prepared seafood. Think scallop ceviche, oysters, or marinated mussels. It also plays beautifully alongside a cheese plate, especially when paired with a lush triple cream or the salty intensity of a Spanish Cabrales.
