100% Syrah from the renowned ‘Les Chassis’ lieu-dit. The stone-laden soil and lack of irrigation forces the vines to hunt for nutrients resulting in complexity, rich fruit and freshness to the finished wine. Profoundly aromatic, this wines shows blackcurrant fruit with savoury olive and white pepper accents.
“Give this Crozes a good splash decant to maximize aeration before serving; the swampy-reductive nature blows off in time to reveal a wine with attractive fresh raspberry fruit flavours alongside the varietally accurate black pepper and fresh tar notes on display. Complexity is high on this mid-weight frame, declared at just 12.5% alcohol, while zesty acids sweep through and drive salivation. Length and depth are very good. A lovely wine all in all, that harkens back to the northern Rhône of the 1990s, before a string of hot vintages became the norm. Best from 2026.”

“This is fruity and playful, with notes of dark cherries, roasted meat, smoke and some crushed black pepper. Light-bodied with silky tannins. Elegant and juicy with a crunchy purple-fruit character to the finish. Drink now.”
