Founded in 2008 by the presidents of Cantine Ermes, one of Sicily’s largest wine cooperatives, and the Orestiadi Foundation, Tenute Orestiadi is a testament to passion, dedication and deep understanding of the terroir. This understanding of the particular micro-climates and the varied soils and altitudes of the area results in wines that showcase the distinctive qualities of the Belìce Valley.
Crafted from organically grown Pinot Grigio grapes on the sun-drenched island of Sicily, this refreshing white wine reflects its unique terroir—deep, alluvial soils rich in limestone, sand, and organic matter. After a gentle pressing, the juice is fermented at controlled temperatures in stainless steel to preserve its bright, natural character. A brief two-month rest in bottle prior to release enhances its aromatic profile. Vibrant notes of pear and citrus unfold on the palate, leading to a clean, fragrant, and fruit-driven finish.
Enjoy this crisp Sicilian white alongside grilled shrimp, lemon risotto, zucchini fritters, or fresh goat cheese. Its bright acidity and citrusy lift make it a perfect match for light seafood, summer salads, and mild, creamy cheeses.
“From the hotter clime of Sicily this pinot grigio is more substantial, riper and softer than most Italian peers. It has a fairly generous soft nose of peach pie, honeysuckle and fennel. It is medium bodied, a bit soft and fleshy, low in acid, but not soupy. The length is very good. Chill very well. Tasted July 2025”
