Burgundy is a land destined for wine by nature. In its millennial history, it has intimately linked man to the vine in certain places. In Puligny-Montrachet, in the heart of the Côte de Beaune, the Leflaive family has been established for more than three centuries. Before the first Leflaives established themselves in Puligny-Montrachet in 1717, the village, had been linked to the cultivation of vines since the end of the 12th century.
Biodynamic fruit from three parcels of the 17 hectare Les Folatières vineyard (just metres north of Chevalier-Montrachet) is hand-harvested by parcel, sorted, then gently pressed and fermented in Vosges and Allier barrels. After 12 months in barrel, the wine spends six months in tank prior to bottling.
A rich but refined wine, it expresses itself through aromas of white flowers and fruit mixed with notes of toasted hazelnuts.
