Château de Pibarnon’s Bandol Rosé is one of Provence’s most distinctive and age-worthy rosés, crafted from the estate’s high-altitude, amphitheatre-shaped vineyards overlooking the Mediterranean. Built around Mourvèdre, the signature grape of Bandol, this is a rosé with real depth, structure, and gastronomic appeal. The blend is 65% Mourvèdre and 35% Cinsault.
In the glass, it shows a pale salmon-pink hue with aromas of wild strawberry, blood orange, peach skin, red currant, Provençal herbs, and a subtle savoury mineral note. The palate is dry, textured, and beautifully balanced, combining ripe Mediterranean fruit with fresh acidity, gentle spice, and a saline, stony finish that speaks clearly of its limestone-rich terroir.
This is far more than a simple patio rosé. It has the concentration and structure to pair beautifully with grilled prawns, lobster, roast chicken or tuna.
