Château Grand-Puy-Ducasse is a 5ème Cru Classé (fifth growth) from Pauillac, founded in the 18th century, known for its exceptional terroir, producing wines that reflect the region’s rich heritage.
Dauphin de Grand-Puy Ducasse is the estate’s second wine (also bottled as Prelude de Gran Puy Ducasse), coming from selections of the young vines of Grand-Puy Ducasse. The Dauphin bottling is labelled for and distributed solely by Cuvelier et Fils, as the families of Grand-Puy Ducasse & Cuvelier et Fils are good friends.
With tradition at the heart of the process, the grapes are hand picked before being sent to the winery, where only the finest grapes are selected for fermentation. The wine is then aged in used French oak barrels, resulting in a complex, elegant and fresh expression of this Cabernet Sauvignon dominant blend.
Drink now, or hold to deepen the aromas and flavours of liquorice, cedar and sweet spices. With time, you may discover complex earth and graphite on the palate. Pair with rich and savoury meats, aged cheeses or mushroom risotto.
