Crafted from meticulously selected Chardonnay grapes, sourced from vineyards in the esteemed territory of Buxy, this wine showcases the exceptional terroir of Bonneveaux, blessed with a radiant southern exposure that bathes the vines in abundant sunshine.
The wine undergoes a carefully orchestrated aging process. Over the course of 12 months, with 5 months spent in stainless steel tanks, this wine matures gracefully. It is nurtured in a combination of 90% oak barrels, including 15% new oak, and 10% stainless steel tanks, striking a harmonious balance between tradition and modernity.
On the palate, it offers a full and round experience, delighting the taste buds with an interplay of flavours, and intriguing notes of minerality, subtle spices, and the enticing essence of hazelnut.
“A yield of 16 hl/ha, as the Côte Chalonnaise suffered as much as further north. In tank on its finings. Clean and fresh on the nose, not yet much character, then delicious on the palate with the crunchy white fruit of the appellation, with enough flesh on the bones. Drink from 2024-2026.“
