Fermented with selected and native yeasts in 8- and 17- ton closed-top stainless steel tanks. Then aged in American oak barrels 10% of which were new, for 9 months. Bottled unfined in February 2018.
The wine is deep ruby red. On the nose, aromas of forest fruits are complemented by spicey notes. The flavours on the palate are round and concentrated, supported by firm tannins that indicate maturity and balance.
“Broad, rich and full of finely textured cherry, dark currant and dried Mission fig flavours. Dark chocolate and spice notes show on the finish. Drink now through 2020. 20,400 cases made.”

“Bright, dark red. Subdued aromas of currant, menthol, tobacco leaf and herbs. Juicy, nicely delineated Cabernet Sauvignon in a rather Old World fashion, offering notes of licorice and tobacco along with redcurrant and plum fruit. Finishes with a broad dusting of tannins and decent herb-tinged length. Less obviously peppery than the 2016 version and sweeter in the middle palate but not more complex than that wine. 2019-2022.”
